The standard reel features a spring loaded locking mechanism that prevents the spool turning in either direction. A simple but effective pull release that is built into the handle releases the lock, allowing line to be release or rewound.The MGE Standard Reel is supplied with 50 metre of line that has a breaking strain of 90kg. The design od the reel allows both left and right handed use without modification.
